Gainesville Peer Respite – Awareness Campaign

Objective

Help increase both physical and digital traffic to the Gainesville Peer Respite by improving awareness and clearly communicating the purpose of the space to college students.

Strategy

Insight: Many college students are unfamiliar with what a peer respite is and may not understand that it is a voluntary, welcoming space focused on community and support.

Strategic Idea: Communicate the core values of the respite – welcoming, community, support, safety, and voluntary participation – through approachable, student-focused creative.

The campaign focused on making the respite feel accessible and encouraging students to engage both online and in person.

My Role

I was a part of the concept development and creative execution across visual assets. My involvement included assisting with messaging and designing materials intended to increase awareness and encourage student engagement.

Execution #1: Poster

Contributed to the development of a poster creative designed to communicate the purpose of the peer respite in a clear and welcoming way. The visuals focused on approachability, inclusivity, and community.

Impact: Helped increase awareness on campus and encouraged students to learn more about the respite.

Execution #2: Gif

Collaborated on an animated GIF designed for digital channels to reinforce messaging and attract attention online. The GIF highlighted the respite’s core values and invited students to engage.

Impact: Supported digital engagement and helped drive interest in the respite.
